Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Accepting these terms

By signing in and using Drive Explorer, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree to them, don't use the app.

What the service does

Drive Explorer lets you browse, organise, and manage files and folders in your own Google Drive. You can open several folder branches at once, move and copy files between them, and view a map of where your storage is used. It acts on your behalf through the Google Drive API using the access you grant.

Your account and access

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account. You must be authorised to connect the Google Drive you link to the app, and you use the app in compliance with Google's terms and any applicable law.

Your Drive and your actions

When you move, rename, copy, delete, or export files, those changes are made to your real Google Drive. Drive Explorer performs the actions you ask for; you are responsible for reviewing them. We recommend caution with delete and bulk move operations, as they cannot always be undone.

Your data

How we handle your account, connection key, and cached folder data is described in our Privacy policy. We process your data only to provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Drive Explorer to access data you aren't authorised to access, to infringe anyone's rights, to transmit malware, or to abuse or overload the service. We may suspend access if use threatens the service or other users.

The service is provided “as is”

Drive Explorer is provided without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that actions in Drive will always succeed. Google's own limits, quotas, and API behaviour apply and are outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator of Drive Explorer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data arising from use of the app. You are encouraged to keep backups of important Drive content.

Third-party services

The app depends on Google for authentication and Drive access, and on a hosting and database provider to run. Their terms and policies also apply to the relevant parts of your use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date below reflects the most recent revision.
